Author Information

Thank you for your interest in having [ash-ling] Booksellers carry your title(s). If your book meets our requirements we would love to carry it.


To become one of our authors your book should meet the following requirements:

  • Books must have the author name and title on the spine
  • Books must have an ISBN
  • Books submitted for direct purchasing must be available from the Publisher or through one of our distributors such as Ingram or Baker and Taylor
  • Books not eligible for direct purchasing must be carried through our Consignment Program
  • Priced for a retail split of 40/60% 


If your book meets the above requirements, we may select the book(s) for placement on our shelves. We review all books submitted for consideration before making our decision, and maintain the right to not carry a book if we do not feel it will be a good match for our store.




Can I schedule an author event?

Yes! We love hosting author events. Please review the folloing Author Event Requirements and submit the Author Event Request Form (see below.)


Can I set up inside [ash-ling] Booksellers or outside in front of the store during one of the annual city events? 

Yes, but limited space is available so you need to submit an Author Event Request Form (see below) months ahead. To be selected you must first meet the above criteria and have your book(s) currently for sale in our store, have additional stock available for the event, and fulfill our marketing requirements. If all the above is established, then submissions are approved on a first applied, first selected basis. Note, each annual event has a different number of author space available.
